Mercedes-Benz began manufacturing more than 16,000 cars from the Chinese market on Saturday due to brake problems. According to a statement issued by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Mercedes-Benz, China Automobile Sales has submitted a plan to recover some cars exported to the Chinese market because of a defect leading to the possibility of gradual loss of enhanced brake capacity, . The cars will be recovered from Class A, Class B and Class CLA, manufactured between February 2012 and April 2013, the statement said, adding that the company will replace defective parts for free.
